Happy Birthday Marines!

Today, the United States Marine Corps celebrates its 238th birthday. From the Halls of Montezuma to the rugged mountains of Afghanistan, they’ve fought in every land and clime with distinction. Of especial note is their contribution to military aviation, beginning all the way back in the early 20th century with a Lieutenant Alfred Cunningham and blossoming into a massive story of courageous and valiant pilots flying and fighting all across the world from the skies over Europe in the First World War to close air support operations in Operation Enduring Freedom.

Congratulations Marines, here’s to many, many more years of the Corps and its proud tradition of excellence, especially in the field of aviation.
