Saab Wins FX-2
Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff announced her decision to award a multi-billion dollar contract to Saab for their Gripen E. 36 Gripens will be ordered as part of the contract, along with involvement from Saab with regards to maintenance, training and parts. The decade-long FX-2 procurement program finally ended with the announcement yesterday with Boeing and Dassault both losing out on the contract, although it seemed in recent months that Boeing was extremely close to inking the deal with an export version of their F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
