This fantastic video gives you a brief glimpse of what the view is like from inside the cockpit of a Russian MiG-29SMT while the pilot fires the Fulcrum’s 30 mm Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-1 autocannon (at the 0:07 and 0:14 marks), and what seem to be unguided rockets at the very beginning of the video. The cannon’s muzzle is positioned inside the left wing strake, and if you pay attention, you’ll notice that the vibration from the cannon actually jars the rearview mirrors around. Probably not something fighter pilots would want to have to worry about in a dogfight situation. The video was taken during a training run near Kursk.
